Flying INTO Austria – New Ordinance

by | May 20, 2020

Many people living in Austria, including self-employed persons living here, have had questions about the regulations related to FLYING INTO Austria lately. I would like to make you aware of a recently published Austrian ordinance. This ordinance was published on 20.5.2020 on the website of the Legal Information System of the Austrian Federal Government (RIS).

For convenience, I have prepared an unofficial English translation of this ordinance.

Please note that the final paragraph states that this will expire on 31 May 2020, but I suspect it will be extended. I will update this post accordingly after this date.

Third-country nationals who are engaged in the transport of goods as part of their self-employed business might especially like to check out para. (2).

The German original of the ordinance can be found on this website.
